Port State Control

With Port State Control inspections taking place worldwide, each maritime authority checks around 25 per cent of visiting vessels. These inspections aim to catch sub-standard ships and raise the safety of the vessel. The key to successful inspections is being well prepared and ensuring that the vessel is adhering to all regulations.

This course takes you through all stages of the port state control inspection – from planning and preparing for an inspection, through to what to expect during an inspection and closing out at the end of the inspection.
